Mobile Phones |
are a common target for theft. Prevent theft by following the TVP advice.
If your phone is stolen then immobilise it. Phone your service provider to get it switched off. They will need the IMEI number. It may already be on their records but make sure and record it NOW. The number is 15 digits long and can be found on most phones by keying *#06#. It may also be printed on a label hidden behind the battery.
The site www.immobilise.com specialises in recording details of moveable equipment and enables users to register the details just in case. Should your registered phone be stolen notifying Immobilise will ensure the admin work is done and gets the phone disabled. When all phones are registered their theft will be pointless.
It's free and you can get all the details here.
While you are there, why not record the serial number of your TV, Laptop, GPS, Camera as well. Recording the information gives you a better chance of getting the equipment back.
